Humanistic and creative leadership

In a world with endless and increasingly complex technological possibilities, we can’t rely solely on technical and managerial skills. In order to ensure that the future we are heading towards is a better one, we need to be ethical, creative and human-centered.

The Challenge

Across all industries - public as well as private - there is a need to rethink how we approach leadership. We need new awareness and capabilities in order to create a development that is responsible, sustainable, fair and successful. The humanistic and creative sciences contribute to moving things in the right direction. But today, there is a strong division between the different areas of abilities and we need to address the humanistic capabilities and their role concerning technology and leadership.

The Solution

Since 2017 we’ve organised and moderated an annual conference for Central Denmark Region (Region Midtjylland) and Aarhus University (Aarhus Universitet). The theme last year was High Tech - Human Leadership and the focus of the conference was how the humanistic sciences can contribute to greater leadership. The conference was the third in a series. In 2018 we organised the conference High Tech - Human Health and the year before High Tech - Human Touch. Approximately 300 participants from universities, public organisations and businesses have been present each year.
